The baroque Zeughaus — the oldest building on Unter den Linden — emptied in 2021 so its climate control could be replaced. Strip-out work runs into mid-2027 and a binding schedule is not expected before 2027. The museum says a reopening with a new permanent exhibition is not realistic before 2031. The adjoining Pei building stays open.
