The Berliner Bäder-Betriebe closed the wave pool on Spreewaldplatz in 2023 and began a complete renovation that autumn, which they put at about three and a half years. In February 2026 the Senate said the building work should finish in the third quarter of 2027, followed by six to ten weeks of fitting out, a test run and health-office checks. Nobody has published a reopening date.
