Closed completely in October 2023. The north wing and central building return on 4 June 2027 with the Pergamon Altar, the Museum für Islamische Kunst, the Aleppo Room and the Mschatta Facade. The south wing — and with it the main holdings of the Vorderasiatisches Museum, including the Ishtar Gate — stays behind hoarding until 2037.
