The steel bridges carrying the U1 and U3 at Gleisdreieck, among the oldest structures on the network, are to be replaced together with the bridge over Dennewitzstraße. The Senate told parliament in April 2025 that the line must close for it from February 2028 to June 2030, 28 months in all. Nollendorfplatz station and its tunnels follow, with works from October 2027 to June 2032.
